Coffee Packing
Applications
Coffee Packing
Coffee packaging can basically be divided into three main categories, raw bean packaging, roasted coffee bean / powder packaging, instant coffee packaging.
Raw coffee bean packaging
Raw beans are usually packaged in sacks. Different coffee producing countries around the world usually use 70 kg or 69 kg packages (only Hawaiian coffee is packed in 100 pounds) of sacks when they export coffee beans. The sacks are printed with the name of the country and its coffee organization, coffee production unit, production area, in addition to the most typical pattern of their country. These seemingly ordinary commercial sacks, in the opinion of coffee lovers, become a footnote explaining the cultural background of coffee. It has even become a collector’s item for many coffee lovers, and this kind of packaging is considered to be the most original packaging for coffee.
Roasted coffee bean/powder packaging
Roasted coffee bean/powder packaging is the most diverse form of coffee packaging because coffee beans naturally produce carbon dioxide after roasting, direct packaging tends to cause packaging breakage, and prolonged exposure to air can lead to aroma loss and cause oxidation of the oils and aromatic components in the coffee, resulting in a loss of quality. Therefore, the packaging of coffee beans / powder is particularly important. It is generally divided into bags and cans.
Instant coffee packaging
Instant coffee packaging is relatively simple, generally using small sealed bags, mainly in long strips, but also in outer boxes. Of course, there are also some instant coffee cans on the market. Instant coffee packaging has no special requirements for materials, and is basically made of general food packaging.
